Why Is This Even a Thing?

When this platform was but a mere thought, I simply wanted a more “put together” space for my shenanigans to dwell; something beyond a 15 second slide via my IG stories.

This includes (but of course is not limited to) my random think pieces inspired by real life situations, or something I may have come across in the media, places I may have been and new things I may have experienced. And let’s not forget my unsolicited advice, just as you’d receive from somebody’s auntie.

While I could have executed this on bodyxsoulart.com, I needed that platform to remain dedicated to paying homage to Black culture — past & present, as ‘Auntie’s Night Out’ is more of a personal space and raw in its overall tone. Think of this as that sister site w/ a little razzle dazzle — you know like, the fun Aunt?

[This space] was created for those less than politically correct responses to life through the lens of a woman who usually has quirky and straightforward responses on random happenings — big or small.

The best part is, while I was under the impression that I was the only one paying attention to my words, people were into my shenanigans as well — so here we are.
